GLOW Academy Open Enrollment Period Opens
Rising 6th - Rising 11th grade Families
New families interested in enrolling at GLOW Academy may apply during the open enrollment period, which runs from December 1st at 9:00 AM through January 31st at 5:00 PM. A separate application must be submitted for each child seeking enrollment. Any siblings of current GLOW students must also complete and submit an application.

GLOW Academy Lottery
If the number of applications exceeds the number of available spaces in a grade level,, a public lottery will be held on the second Tuesday of the month following the close of the enrollment period to determine admission. All applications received by 5:00 PM on January 31st to be included in the lottery.
A waitlist will be created based on the lottery results and maintained for any openings that become available.
Priority placement will be given to:
- Siblings: It is the intent of the Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington to support whole families and create a school community. Siblings of enrolled students will receive priority for admission if their applications are received by the deadline.
- Staff: GLOW Academy will give priority enrollment to children of staff currently employed by GLOW Academy permitted to have priority enrollment in NCGS 115C•238.29F(g).
- Economic Diversity: The Girls Leadership Academy of Wilmington is committed to being an economically diverse community.
- Charter School Students: As the only charter high school program in the region, GLOW Academy recognizes that families currently enrolled in charter schools may wish to continue their charter experience at GLOW Academy. Applicants whose household income qualifies them for the National School Lunch Program

GLOW Academy Offers to Enroll
Families selected through the GLOW Academy lottery will receive an offer to enroll by email and text message. Parents or guardians must respond by completing the form provided to accept or decline the offered seat.
- If a seat is declined, it will be offered to the next applicant on the waitlist.
- If the offer is accepted, families will be required to submit all enrollment paperwork by the deadline provided to secure their child’s spot.
