Trips & Tours

At GLOW Academy, we believe it’s never too early to start exploring future possibilities. Beginning in 6th grade with a visit to the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), our students embark on a journey of discovery through a series of college tours and campus experiences designed to inspire and inform.

As students advance through middle and high school, these visits become more personalized and purposeful, helping them consider their interests, strengths, and goals after graduation. By the time they reach senior year, GLOW students have experienced a variety of college environments and are well-prepared to make confident, informed decisions about their next steps toward college, career, and life success

Cafeteria

At GLOW Academy, we believe that proper nutrition is essential for student success. That’s why we proudly provide breakfast and lunch at no cost to all students every school day. Our meals are thoughtfully prepared to meet federal nutrition standards, offering a variety of healthy and delicious options to fuel learning and growth. Ensuring every student has access to nutritious meals is just one of the ways we support their journey to Graduate. Go to College. Succeed.

GLOW Traditions

Traditions are at the heart of GLOW Academy. They help build a strong sense of community and connection, giving students, families, and staff shared experiences that foster belonging and pride. They also create memories and continuity, giving students something to look forward to each year and helping mark important milestones in their journey.

Our school-wide traditions celebrate the spirit and achievements of our students, while also providing opportunities to bond and celebrate one another. From ringing the Senior Bell to commemorate college acceptances, to festive events like the Fall Festival, International Day of the Girl, and Decision Day, these moments honor our students’ growth and accomplishments and strengthen the connections that make GLOW Academy such a special community.
